Beautiful Weather

It is absolutely gorgeous outside.  And of course, I spent most of the day at work, indoors.

At least I started and ended the day outside.

After my run, I inhaled 4 graham crackers and some watermelon.

I made coffee last night and chilled it in the fridge to make iced coffee with almond milk.  I also stopped by Bagel Street on my way in to work for a toasted whole wheat bagel with butter.

We were so busy at work, I didn't get a chance to eat anything for quite a while.  I had about 1/2c of applesauce at the end of the jar, a cocoroon, and orzo with peas, corn, and goat cheese.

Dinner, once I made it home (customers stayed late in the store...again), was strawberry stuffed French toast (made with an English muffin dipped in egg whites/cinnamon/pumpkin pie spice and grilled, strawberries, topped with maple syrup and a sprinkling of nutmeg).  There also may have been a graham cracker, a spoonful of ricotta cheese, and a handful of blueberries that made it into my mouth while I was waiting for this deliciousness.

Since it was such a beautiful night, I decided to head over to the "village center" and walk around.  The temperature was in the mid-70s, so absolutely perfect.  I love the feeling when you almost can't feel the air around you, because it's the same temperature as the surface of your skin.

Redberry is in the village square, so of course I stopped for a treat.

That would be cake batter and chocolate caramel turtle frozen yogurt with 2 cherries, tiny fruity bubbles of juicy awesomeness (I forget what they're called), and pieces of cookie dough and Reese's cups.  Enjoyed while sitting outside, on a bench, watching the sunset and the sky turn dark blue.  What a lovely evening!

Friday July 26

Friday, July 26
My Friday started by sleeping in....all the way until 8am!  Wow, I really am getting old!
4 graham crackers were my morning snack, along with coffee and almond milk.
I had a smoothie around 11am, made with a frozen banana, some frozen peaches, chocolate protein powder, and bit of cocoa powder, chia seeds, spinach, and coconut milk.

looks gross, tastes good

I also made sure to drink 1/3 bottle of Guava kombucha (this flavor is really good).
I made some iced blueberry tea to take to work with me this afternoon.

Watermelon made an appearance before my actual lunch.

My actual lunch (eaten in the car on the way to work, of course): grilled chicken sausage on a hot dog roll with Dijon mustard.

I had a cup of applesauce at work.  I thought I had planned well, but we had customers in the store until 7:45 (we close at 7), and I realized I was starving, so I grabbed a pack of these:

the best flavor.  ever.

They held me over, but it was Friday night, and I wanted a treat.  Enter Aljon's Pizza.

why yes, that would be bbq chicken pizza and penne pizza

Perhaps not the healthiest end to the day, but certainly delicious.

Hot. Fudge. Sundae. Yes.

July 25 is National Hot Fudge Sunday Day.  Yes, we'll get to that in a bit.

I had a gu because I was going on a long run.
this flavor is good.  it seems most vanilla gu flavors are good.

I had some grape Nuun sitting in the fridge for when I got back.  The temperature was BEAUTIFUL!  It was under 70 degrees and overcast.  It almost felt like running in the autumn.  The temperature stayed that way pretty much all day, too.  And with the breeze, it felt like October!  There was even the smell of a wood fire while I was walking back from work, so it really felt like fall!  I'm pretty sure the temperature's going to go back up tomorrow, though.
After a quick shower, I whipped together a quick bowl of Greek yogurt, honey, and blueberries for protein after my run.

Coffee was also definitely had.  Splashed with a bit of almond milk (I've been out of cow's milk for almost a week now....and haven't needed it!)
Lunch was a microwaved egg on a toasted whole wheat English muffin with about 1/3 avocado (I had to use it up) and some spinach.

I went over to Westminster to have a lesson with Harold (my first since May) and we hashed out some new repertoire.  I'm going to be pretty busy this week learning this Strauss piece - lots of coloratura!  I hung out in the library for a bit, and then ate some spaghetti with Ragu that I prepped in advance to eat in the commuter lounge.  It escaped picture-taking.
At work, I had a peanut-pretzel Mojo bar.  These things are really pretty good!  Not chemically at all.

Speaking of work, having a job at a running store certainly has perks.  Check out the new Nike Pegasus shoes that I got for free from Nike Chris  :)
They just LOOK happy!

I can't wear them to run because they are neutral shoes (and I need stability shoes), but I am definitely wearing them to work.  A lot.  They make me look tan.

On the way home, a coworker and I stopped at McDonald's for hot fudge sundaes (it IS July 25, after all.  We kind of had to).  Of course, I had small french fries too.  So good.

To round out my night while watching The Big Bang Theory, I had grapefruit juice (squeezed from the grapefruit from last week) combined with vanilla vodka.

I get to sleep in tomorrow!
